We are the newcomers
New faces in the Zürichsee region...
After years working in Germany as a Kellermeister, Santi Martínez (Our founder) came to Switzerland with one idea in mind: create wines with soul, precision and a deep respect for the land that grows them.
​
Bodegas Martínez Ríos is built on a simple belief: great wine starts with healthy soil and honest work. We farm steep vineyards that make you earn every cluster and we follow practices that improve biodiversity and protect the future of this landscape.
Sustainability isn’t a trend for us, it’s the backbone of how we work.
​
We want people to feel this process, not just taste it. That’s why our workshops open the cellar and the vineyard to everyone who’s curious. You get the full journey, from feeling the earth in your hands to filling your own bottle. No shortcuts, no staged experiences, just real winemaking.

We might be the newcomers, but we’re here to contribute, to push forward and to become part of the story of Zürichsee.

Our Workshops
Our workshops are built around one idea: the best way to understand wine is to make it yourself.
Once a month, always on a Saturday, you join me in the vineyard and we work together. Side by side, we take care of the vines, do real hands-on tasks and talk about what’s happening in the plants, the soil and the season. You learn the why behind every decision, not just the romantic part.

Over the year you follow the whole cycle: pruning, canopy work, fruit selection, harvest prep and everything in between. It’s basically a cooking workshop, just twelve months longer and with way more fresh air.
​
When the wine made from the grapes we worked on is finally bottled, everyone gets their share to take home, so you can open a bottle with your people and say: we made this.
​
After each session we sit down, open a couple of bottles and share something to eat. It’s relaxed, social and made for people who want a real connection with the craft, not a staged experience.
​
If you’ve ever wanted to get closer to winemaking, this is the most authentic way to do it.

It’s Santi’s tribute to his father, shaped by his paintings, the stories he left behind and the moments that still live quietly in the family. Every numbered bottle carries a little piece of him, a reminder that some people stay with us in everything we create.
It’s a wine meant to be opened with intention, with the people who matter, in those moments that deserve to be remembered.
